Why the Tree of Life?

Texas Memorial Museum

We went to see the dinosaurs at the Texas Memorial Museum on the UT campus with Monday Friends this week. All the fossils have been found in Texas. D's favorite was the Pterodactyl hanging from the ceiling of the Great Hall. The Great Hall has lots of different cases with gems and butterflies among other things, and most of the dinosaurs are actually downstairs. The third and fourth floors have native animals, all nice and stuffed. K especially liked the mountain lion dramatically defending its fresh-killed deer from three or four coyotes and a raven.
